The yarn shaper with green drive kit upgrade control box is designed to replace the old standard electronic traverse system devices on the mayor covering machine brands.
This device is designed to replace the machine control box to control the traverse control and the machine inverters devices to drive the full machines shafts and spindles deck motors with four installed motor size from 7,5kW up to 22kW each with inertia power failure recovery control function.
This device is designed to respect the energy saving rules to obtain the best performance in energy saving by using the y.wave, y.energy and y.performance functionality.
This device can be quick installed by Customer technician with our direct technical support.

The yarn shaper green drive upgrade kit control box is designed to be using the latest available technologies on the market respecting the strictest regulations on energy saving.

What we have done is to design a covering machine motion control control box by using the best quality products available on the market by using high efficiency servo inverter to drive all the machine motors controlled by the PLC through high velocity Powerlink Ethernet field bus and high efficiency servo brushless motor to control the traverse, yarn shaper technology.

The machine motion control, shafts and spindles deck, are controlled by High Efficiency Servo Inverter B&R ACOPOSinverter P84.

This is the latest development in covering field. It is made by using the latest high tech components available on market. Developed by a team of expertise in textile applications the new green drive controls collects all the knowledge and the deep experiences of years of applications. All the machine functionality are controlled by PLC with VGA color touch screen HMI to satisfy all the machines functionality and the traversing system. The innovative y.flex take up algorithm is designed to obtain the best high quality production. No more compromize on covering.

why green drive

The Covering machine has a heavy energy consumption start up and load mechanical   application. The inertial mass of the bobbins, spindles and yarn packages and the mechanical transmission which controls the drive motions is extremely high with a rapid acceleration and deceleration of the machine speed. Therefore the choice of motor and control method is extremely important. The machine is aimed at a technological need for heavy use where long production RUNS are interspersed with short breaks for the operations of doffing the products being processed. The motor and control system have be chosen to ensure accuracy, continuity and reliability over the years. The current technology provides different types of speed and depending on the type of starts are dimensioned sizes of motors that drive the machine. The better the ability to control the power consumption of the motors during acceleration, the smaller the size of motors that can be installed: Motor Downsizing. In many cases the condition occurs so that, once the motor is started  , the consumption turns out to be much lower than the installed power in practice a large part of the installed capacity appears to be required for motor  start-up.
